Description
I have a bulk lot of 29 Life Magazines from 1972. They once belonged to my in-laws and were stored in a shed for many years. They are in varying conditions. I will try to describe the condition as best I can as I list them. I will list who is on the cover, the title on the cover, the publication date, and any defects in the magazine that would be more than normal wear from use. 1) SP4 Jerry N. Duffey, The One Boy Who Died, January 21: Loose pages 2) Pat Nixon, She's at Ease in the White House, August 25 3) Marriage Experiment, The Marriage Experiments: A special Section new Forms in a cherished institution, April 28: Slight water marks on a few page bottoms. 4) Cornelia Wallace, The Wallace Shooting: Cornelia Wallace embraces her husband, May 26: Great Shape 5) Marlon Brando, Brando plays a Mafia chieftain: The Godfather, March 10: Cover starting to loosen around staples. 6) George Wallace, George Wallace Fights Back, November 24: Tear on back cover 7) Kareem vs. Wilt, How the Nixon Administration Blocked Justice, March 24: Loose pages 8) Richard Nixon, The Big Win: What will Nixon Do With It, November 17: 9) John Wayne, John Wayne Memories of a G-rated Cowboy, January 28: Address sticker on the cover has been torn up and took some letters with it, there is no hole in the page just some of the page came off with the sticker. 10) Diana Ross, The star shows off home husband and babies, December 8: 11) Vietnam Soldier, Vietnam Retreat, May 12: Loose page. 12) Mao, Nixon in the land of Mao, March 3: 3 inch tear on page 12. 13) Wanda Adams, Dropout Wife: A Striking Current Phenomenon, March 17: 14) Charlie Chaplin, Hello Charlie / Giant Battle for Vietnam, April 21: 15) Raquel Wlech, Raquel on Skates as a derby Demon / McGovern / Nixon, June 2: Water marks on cover. 16) A boy, The Middle Age Child 6 to 12, October 20: 17) Valerie Kushner, P.O.W. Wife, September 29: Watermarks on the bottoms of some pages. 18) Jackie Kennedy, Jackie vs. the Jackie Watcher: March 31: 19) Larry Walker, Bored on the Job / How Nixon Sees his second Term, September 1: 20) George McGovern, An Outspoke self-portrait George McGovern Talks, July 7: Cuts on cover, piece missing from page 1. 21) Bob Lilly, A gallery of Sunday heroes without their masks or pads, Rough, Tough Pros, October 6: 22) Frank Shorter, The Haywire Olympics can they be fixed by '76, September 22: 23) Baby Jesus, The Joys of Christmas Special Double Issue, December 15: Loose Cover. 24) Liz Taylor, Liz Taylor is 40, February 25: 25) Joe Nameth, Namath the juicy rewards of a painful life, November 3: Loose cover and loose back page. 26) Israeli Olympians, Olympic Tragedy: From this small Israeli team, 11 Would Die, September 15; Tear on bottom of spine of cover. 27) Staubach and Landry, Super Bowl Scouting Report, January 14: 28) Mick Jagger, The Stones Are Rolling Again, July 14: tear in bottom of cover along spine. 29) Dr. Edwin Land, A Genius and his Magic Camera, October 27: Some of them have creases or small tears on the edges of pages. I did not notice any writing in any of them. I am not a collector so when I say a magazine is great or in great shape I mean it looks like it is in great shape to me, but I am not trying to grade them by whatever scale it is that collectors use. I always try to ship the day payment is received if at all possible. If you pay in the afternoon though it may take me until the next day to ship. I do not ship on Saturdays because our post office is open for only a short period. I will ship the fastest method to you that stays within the confines of the $8 paid for shipping.
