Co., defunct for many decades,  began in business 1890 in Bridgeport Connecticut by three brothers Edward, Erwin and Henry Jennings.  They started their company with a modest space and eventually their company floor space grew to 100,000 square feet.  In their heydays they shipped their goods throughout the U.S. , Australia, New Zealand, England, Africa, South America.  They specialized in the manufacturing of clocks encased in metal casings, candelabras, flatware and art metal.  JB was known during this period as producing high quality finished art metal products, such as these Cherubic Boy bookends.  Like most manufacturers of the WWII era, the Parker Company, turned its manufacturing efforts into war production instead of decorative items production.  After WWII, due to changing American tastes, most of the manufacturers, who had previously produced high-end decorative items,  did not restart their production, or went out of business.  Each Cherubic Boy bookend is approx. 7.5" tall, 3.5" wide, and 3"deep.  Nice weight, weighing approx. 5.10 pounds per pair.   Original brass hued finish over gray metal.   Very good used condition with age and use appropriate surface wear for their ages.  Please view pictures.  Pictures are part of the description.  For better picture viewing, supersize and then maximize picture.  Highly presentable.  Shipping: Domestic Shipping- Shipping is free for this order in the contiguous U.S. All items are shipped in a clean box and Insured USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.
