This sale is for an exceptional book. The title page reads: GUIDIUBALDI E MARCHIONIBUS MONTIS IN DUOS ARCHIMEDIS AEQUEPONDERANTUM LIBROS PARAPHRASIS Scholijs illustrata. MECHAICORUM MACHINA PISAURI Apud Hieronymum Concordiam, M D LXXXVIII. Superiorum Conceffu. The first three pages are blank. The next 2 are not numbered. Then there are 202 numbered pages followed by 1 not numbered page then 3 blank pages. This book is in excellent condition. I am not a professional book dealer and do not know how books are rated, but on a scale of 1 to 10 for old books I would give this one at least a 9 1/2! Most of my kids' high school text books are in far worse condition than this one is! Amazing considering it was printed in 1588 - only 96 years after Columbus sailed to America! This book was previously owned by a university mathematics professor. According to the experts I have spoken with - this book is complete including the final registration page dated 1587.
