Some of Trollope's best-loved works, known as the Chronicles of Barsetshire, revolve around the imaginary county of Barsetshire; he also wrote penetrating novels on political, social, and gender issues and conflicts of his day. The "Chronicles of Barsetshire" is a series of six novels by the English author Anthony Trollope, set in the fictitious cathedral town of Barchester. They concern the dealings of the clergy, the gentry, and the political, amatory, and social maneuverings that go on among and between them. CONDITION The bindings are tight and firm with all covers and internal pages attached. There is wear to the extremities, including bumping to the edges and water stains to the edge of the front and rear boards. The titles are visible on all the spines except for 'The Warden'. Internally the pages are generally clean and bright, apart from the occasional handling mark and mild spots. The front and end papers are more spotted. Overall the volumes are in good condition.
