Leather retains a rich patina and healthy shine! Volumes show Extremely Minimal Wear. Very small & shallow graze to the top of Volume 51 only. All hinges are secure. NO cracking. Volume Size: Volumes measure 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide! The set commands aprox.  4+ feet of shelf space! TEG (top edges of pages gilded): All exterior edges are dyed yellow. Tops a bit dulled from dust. Foxing~ Is Text Clean?:Text is WITHOUT Foxing. Endpapers: Non-decorative. Small signature on front free endpaper of Volume I ONLY. WITHOUT Ex Libris plates, and no other signatures noted. Illustrated: Yes! Nearly all volumes have an engraved frontispiece portrait. Many others have another plate as well. Herodotus has a nice foldout map. Theophrastus contains 50 portraits. Plutarch contains a multitude as well. Number of Pages in Volume, or Average Page Count Per Volume: Volumes are complete and set is complete. Average of 400+ or so per volume.
